Current state

salami.me is a static product catalog. Outbound links route to retailer searches (most commonly to Amazon) where the product described is typically stocked. The site does not currently participate in any active affiliate programme. No referral identifiers are appended to outbound links at this time.

That means: clicks on outbound links from this site do not currently generate any commission, referral fee, or other compensation to the operators of this site. The site is self-funded.

Why the rel="sponsored" attribute is already in place

Outbound product links carry the rel="sponsored nofollow noopener" attribute and target="_blank". This is the attribute Google requests for affiliate-style links. It is in place preemptively so that if an affiliate relationship begins in the future, no link markup needs to change.

Future affiliate relationships

The operators of this site may apply to retailer affiliate programmes (run by Amazon, Williams Sonoma, Eataly, and others) in the future. If an application is approved and an affiliate identifier is issued to the site, this page will be updated to declare:

• which programmes the site participates in;
• the date each participation began;
• how that affects outbound links and pricing on the site (the price the visitor pays at the retailer does not change as a result of any future affiliate relationship).

Until that update is made, treat this site as a non-monetised catalog. No affiliate commission is currently received on any purchase made through links on this site.

What the catalog is and is not

The catalog is a reference index of products with publicly available specifications. It is not a review site. The catalog does not publish ratings, rankings, "best of" lists, or personal endorsements of specific products. Listings are descriptive: brand, model, material, dimensions, region of origin, designation where applicable.

Some listings are flagged in the underlying data with isSynthetic: true, indicating that the listing was authored from product specifications rather than scraped from a live retailer page. The product itself is real; the listing data is attested rather than verified at retailer load time.

Pricing

Prices shown on the catalog are indicative of the retail price observed at the time the listing was authored or last updated. Retail prices change. The retailer's current price at the moment of click-through is authoritative.
